Quality and Packaging Are the Same Conversation

One of the busiest parts of this week was the overlap between sourcing, quality checks, fulfilment and branding requests. It is tempting to treat these as separate jobs, but they meet at the same point: the item that will actually be packed and sent to a customer.

A product can pass an appearance check and still create problems if the packaging, label position or packing method has not been confirmed. Equally, a packaging request is not finished when the artwork is approved; it has to work with the physical item and the dispatch process.

Our working rule is to check the item, the agreed specification and the packing instruction together before release. It makes fulfilment more predictable, which is what protects a growing store.
