Honest Talk About Shipping Labels, and the Unglamorous Side of the Job

A new dropshipper came on today with a very reasonable, very specific worry: would his packages arrive with Chinese text all over the label, company name and all, the way another agent had apparently warned him they would? We were able to tell him straight — our waybills print in English only, nothing that gives away where the goods actually came from — and sent over a sample label so he could see for himself rather than just take our word for it. He seemed relieved, and honestly I get why that question matters so much to people building a brand from scratch; the last thing you want is your supply chain showing through the packaging.

Not going to pretend every day this week was smooth. We had a genuinely stressful stretch sorting out some account and payment issues behind the scenes — the kind of unglamorous admin work that never makes it into a highlight reel but eats a real chunk of a founder's week regardless. I'll spare the details, but if there's one general reminder worth sharing publicly: please don't ever send us a message on WhatsApp your store password directly in chat, even if you trust us completely. Set up a proper staff or collaborator account instead. It's a five-minute extra step and it protects you far more than it protects us.

On a lighter note, I spent part of the weekend pricing out a small side idea of our own — a set of ceramic dinnerware with custom packaging, just to see what the numbers look like if we ever wanted to put something out under our own name. Nothing concrete yet. Just the kind of tinkering that happens when you spend all day helping other people build brands and eventually think, why not us too.
