Got a genuinely flattering message today — a US-based automotive floor mat company had seen a comment we'd left somewhere online and reached out directly. Their production has been based in Europe, but their order volume has grown past what that manufacturing partner can keep up with, so they're exploring China as a second production line rather than a replacement. They came in with a real list of questions too: where exactly are we based, how long have we been doing this, do we work directly with factories or through a network. It's a good kind of scrutiny to get — a business that's already scaled once and knows what questions matter before committing to a new partner.
On the private-label side, a longtime client sent us a screenshot of a phone case design trending in Europe and asked if we could get the exact same style made in three variants with his logo on it. That's one of the more fun parts of the job — turning a "we saw this going viral" message into an actual sourced, quoted product within the day. We came back with a few near-matches and were upfront that we didn't have physical samples on hand yet, so we'd recommend ordering one before committing to a full run.
Meanwhile our phone case brand client (the one we've been chasing tracking numbers for all week) asked us to do a full review of his catalog — which items the factory had quietly discontinued, which sizes were still available for the newer phone models. A good housekeeping request, if a slightly overdue one on our side. We also swapped a wrong-fit case for a customer with a replacement instead of a refund, which is always the better outcome when it's an option.
